This week the weekly photo challenge on WordPress was “nostalgic” and honestly, I had a hard time deciding what to do with it. I’m not from around here so there was no real way to go out and take photos from places from my past. I decided to find a good photo from my past to represent my life growing up – me becoming whom I am today. But, not surprisingly, I could not find just one. So dear readers, today you get a super photo collage of photos that are meaningful to me and that tell little stories along the way. I’ve captioned them so you have a clue what they are and why they’re important.
My little brother and I playing in a box. We were best friends when we were kids.
My brother and I with my grandparents. My grandfather just passed away this spring.
Part of my family during high school years – my brother, mom, stepdad, and stepsister.
My brother and I with our dad.
My stepdad and one of my stepbrothers.
Me around senior year in high school. I just like this photo cuz I’m already a smart ass. Obvs.
My brother and I at my high school graduation.
Me working on a costume in the costume shop in college.
My brother and I being dorks.
My mom and I at my college graduation.
Me when my first husband and I renewed our vows (we had eloped a few months prior). Love it cuz yes, I’m smoking in the dress. LOL
My mom and my son.
My son showing off the Christmas tree.
Me and my favorite uncle in Vegas.
My mom’s wedding to my new stepdad with my new stepsister, stepbrother and his wife, and my son.
My son and one of my bff’s daughter. They’ve now grown up together the last 13 years!
Me and another bff’s daughter – how cute are we?
Me and my current husband. Yeah, we’re that badass.
There you go – a little taste of me throughout the years. There’s a huge chunk of years missing there (like 10 years) but I seem to be missing photos from there. Or, maybe they’re not all appropriate for public viewing. One of two. LOL. In any case, I hope it shows a bit of nostalgia for you – cuz it sure the heck does for me. 🙂
